When warm, humid outside air meets the cold underside of an insulated freezer roof, moisture condenses inside the assembly — quietly soaking insulation, corroding fasteners and decking, and degrading the very thermal barrier that keeps energy costs in check. The defense is a roof that is sealed truly watertight from above so no additional moisture is ever introduced, combined with managing the vapor drive through correct detailing. A monolithic, ponding-proof silicone membrane keeps liquid water out completely, and our restoration includes cutting out and replacing any wet insulation we find so we are never sealing a moisture problem inside a freezer roof.
